Coupled limit cycles in dual-channel oscillators

Export session

This study observes phase locking and transient chaos across four stacked spatial planes. Channel 1 records the fast activator potential, while channel 2 follows the slow recovery variable. Measurements below correspond to tick 142 of 300.

Trajectory interpretation

The uppermost plane monitors the driving oscillator, which maintains a stable periodic orbit with minimal dispersion. Lower planes exhibit increasing phase lag and amplitude distortion as the coupling coefficient weakens.

At tick 142, the dashed alignment cursor crosses all four planes simultaneously, confirming synchronous phase onset across the physical stack despite the non-uniform amplitudes.

Current telemetry readouts

Plane 1 (Drive node) +0.84210 V / -0.12051 A
Plane 2 (Primary coupler) +0.63124 V / -0.25890 A
Plane 3 (Secondary coupler) +0.31055 V / -0.41209 A
Plane 4 (Boundary sink) -0.11904 V / -0.58912 A
Inter-plane coherence 0.96412

Experimental observations

The observed trajectories demonstrate that equal geometric heights on different planes do not imply equal physical amplitudes. Each plane tracks its independent voltage range while sharing the temporal cursor. Complete traces remain visible throughout the full recording window to facilitate comparison against the active sample.
